Superdiversity and multilingual education

Spotti,Massimiliano
Abstract
This entry will offer an overview of the changes that have taken place in multilingual education and its policing. Further, it stresses the conceptual wealth that super-diversity holds for language studies in general and for multilingual education in particular. Last, it explores how super-diversity has managed to have multilingual education move away from a group-based understanding of multilingualism and from a normative-based understanding of competence and performance.
